A revolving programme of family activities may have you heading into the Roman Amphitheatre and hearing tales of Roman conquests, or creating crafts from the Victorian paintings surrounding you.
We run themed family events on the Second Saturday of every month. Our next Second Saturday on 9 November brings you a fun range of activities to celebrate the Lord Mayor's Show. The Lord Mayor's Show is an annual event that dates back over 800 years. The original purpose of this historic event was to welcome the new Lord Mayor, and to "show" them to the people of the City.
- 11am to 4pm: Crafts and activities - make a simple Tri-Corner hat, a Lord Mayor inspired collage and a family gallery trail.
- 11:30am & 2:30pm: Storytelling
A story corner with soft cushions, dress-up costumes and building bricks will also be available throughout the day.
For more info of how to get here and the Lord Mayor's procession through the City of London visit the Lord Mayor's Show website.
Please note this family session runs between 11am and 4pm. Plan to make a day of it - bring a picnic lunch to have in Guildhall Yard, or eat nearby.
This event is for children aged 3-13 and their families, and it is not suitable for individual adults. The activities are free but booking is advised.
