By supporting City Beerfest you are enabling these charities to continue their vital work:

MQ Mental Health Research

MQ Mental Health Research is the UK’s leading mental health research charity. Their vision is to create a world where mental illnesses are understood, effectively treated, and eventually prevented. They do this through launching research across the translational spectrum, putting impact at the heart of all they do. Support from The Lord Mayor’s Appeal will enable new research to investigate the impact of the cost-of-living crisis on the nation’s mental health. It will also help to develop new recommendations on how we can support the most vulnerable in society.

Homewards

Last year, Prince William and The Royal Foundation launched Homewards; a transformative five-year programme that aims to demonstrate that it’s possible to end homelessness through a collaborative, locally-led approach making it rare, brief and unrepeated. Their six flagship locations across the UK will form local coalitions of committed people, organisations and businesses, who will work together to create and deliver a plan to prevent and end homelessness. The Lord Mayor’s Appeal will support this work through funds, collaboration and connections.

National Numeracy

Low numeracy is holding 3.5 million Londoners back from fulfilling their potential, by increasing vulnerability to unemployment, debt, fraud and financial exclusion. The Lord Mayor’s Appeal will be supporting a new campaign with National Numeracy called ‘Every Londoner Counts’. This initiative will improve employability and financial inclusion, by supporting thousands of Londoners in greatest need to build confidence, skills, and positive attitudes to basic numeracy through a network of 500 newly trained Numeracy Champions.
